This is a major update--the Members Area is finally open! The message board has actually been active in a kind of "dry-run" mode for a little while; another site I hang out at a lot got hacked and was offline for nearly two weeks, so I set the board up here and invited everyone to come and chat on it until the other site came back. (That's why there are already 11 members and nearly 700 posts, even though I've only just "officially" opened it today.) Also, the fanfic archive is empty at the moment, but if you have a story you'd like to submit (or would be interested in writing one from scratch), check out the Submission Guide for all the info you'll need about subject matter, formatting, etc. I've added a couple of things to the Site FAQ and redesigned the Fanfiction Glossary, as well.

I've also done some work on the site generally... not really a redesign as such, but I've renamed several directories and a LOT of pages, so if you had something specific bookmarked, the bookmark is probably no longer valid. The page is most likely still there--I didn't really remove anything--but you will have to follow the links to find it again and re-bookmark it.

There is also some new stuff in the Hall of Hunks. I've added a general improvement to the galleries; now there is a number beside each thumbnail that tells you how large the image it links to is, so people on slow connections can decide whether they REALLY want to download a particular pic or not. There's new content, too:

Benjamin Orr's artist page has been updated--the Essay has been heavily revised, and I've added a couple of other bits and pieces.

Yay! Chord & Sorcery has its very first update!

I have redesigned the main page slightly (and added a couple of cute "Viewable With Any Browser" graphics) and I've also fixed a few small things around the site, typos and so forth--I won't mention all the the locations. (No point in bringing to folks' attention what they might not have noticed in the first place!  )

Well, after many months of waiting, the day has finally arrived for the launch of Chord & Sorcery, my brand-spanking-new website! Credit must be given first to all the talented bands, artists, and authors whom I have mentioned in various locations--without all of them, I would have no content, and I give them all my sincerest thanks for providing me with so many hours of enjoyment. I would also like to thank my husband, His Royal Geekiness, for emotional encouragement and technical support during the design process, and all my friends at the BGsFFO board for their patience (eg, putting up with me spouting off about obscure aspects of HTML at odd moments ) and unflagging enthusiasm--and for just being themselves.
