Free Survivor Concert at "Wild Bill Hickok Days"
Historic Main Street - Deadwood, South Dakota
18 June, 2005

Just as an aside: Having been to a show where cameras were allowed, I now understand why professional photographers who work with rock bands always go through a zillion rolls of film at live concerts. laughing emoticon I actually took over 200 photos during the hour and a half that Survivor was onstage (thank the Gods for memory sticks!) and I've managed to salvage almost half again as many as were here originally thanks to the enhancing functions of my image manipulation software. Still, alas, there are many which will never see the light of day, as I am firmly committed to only putting what I consider to be GOOD pics on this site. And even though I get the feeling that Jimi tends to cringe a bit at photos of himself, I hope that if he ever pays this page a visit, he won't be wincing TOO terribly hard at any of these...

Anyway--here are the 46 "cream of the crop" shots, of all the ones I took. And, as usual, I apologize to fans of the other members of Survivor; I could not see Chris [keyboards] or Barry [bass] at all from my vantage point that night, and I only caught glimpses of Marc [drums]. Jimi [vocals, natch] and Frankie [guitar] were the only ones I could see clearly, and, well, in a choice between the two, Jimi just wins every time. winking emoticon (It's actually quite amusing in retrospect; Frankie was the one in the ruffled shirt and leather pants, but I fear I only paid attention to him during his solos... laughing emoticon )
